2013 Is Here!

Today is office work day at LunaRising ArtGlass.  I've prepared all of my mailers for my next show and they're going out today.  I'm organizing all of my receipts and paperwork for my taxes, and I'm editing photos like there's no tomorrow!

2012 has been a year of a lot of changes for me and LunaRising ArtGlass - It's when I officially established the business, willingly put my company on the Fed's radar (paying sales tax!), created a new website, and I did my first 3-day expo and lived!  One-day shows are wonderful, and I've done plenty of them at various parks, churches, and other venues, but a multi-day show at an expo center is a completely different beast - it was an incredible experience and I learned a lot during the process.  2013 is already promising to be full of change and growth as well. 

I've already shared my production kiln plans, but I've also applied to Sugarloaf Craft Festival, and a few other shows so I can do more multi-day expo shows this year.  Last year's Northern Virginia Christmas Market at Dulles Expo was a wonderful success and I'm looking forward to doing more shows of that level in addition to my annual favorites and some new small shows.

I've done some cleaning and reorganizing in the studio which always makes me feel better and more creative.  I'm designing some new stained glass pieces which I hope to have in production before Spring settles in here ... that is, if Winter ever really arrives!
